The idea of the study was drawn from the premise that music therapy helps reduce depression. The objective of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of Surah Al-Rehman for managing depression in Muslim women admitted for treatment of major depressive disorder in a psychiatry ward of a government hospital. It was hypothesized that women diagnosed with severe depression in the treatment group will have reduced level of depression as compared to control group at post-assessment level. It was further hypothesized that the amount of decrease in depression in treatment group at the post-assessment level will be greater as compared to the control group.

A purposive sample of 12 female patients diagnosed with depression was randomly assigned to the treatment group (n = 6) and control group (n = 6). Assessment was done at pre- and post-level by using Beck Depression Inventory-II. Both groups did not significantly differ on pre-assessment depression scores. Twelve structured group sessions of 22 min, two times a day, were conducted for a period of 4 weeks with the groups. Treatment group was made to listen to Surah Al-Rehman recited by Qari Abdul Basit, and control group was exposed to music used for relaxation and treatment of depression. Wilcoxon signed ranks test was used to find the within-group differences between pre- and post-assessment scores. Both groups had decreased level of depression at post-assessment level, so it was important to assess if there was any difference in level of decrease. Mann-Whitney U test for comparison of groups on level of decrease at the post-assessment level endorsed that treatment group had significantly greater decrease than control group on depression. Our study highlights the efficacy of Surah Al-Rehman as a remedy to reduce depression.

The Holy Quran intones, "This sacred book is 'shifa' for its followers." Hence, we recommend that researchers should focus on finding remedies for other psychological and physical diseases from Quranic verses. An exploration of possible mechanism (such as activated cognitions or associated emotions while listening to Quran) through which effects of recitation are reached, can also be subject of investigation for forthcoming studies.

1400 years ago.... اَللهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى already said that the holly qur'an is a Healer, the difference between the previous generation and the current generation is the belief and faith that is far different to believe in things like in the future where research and technology are safe today...

Key words, yes heaven does not look, God does not look, hell does not look, but for us believers we trust fully with the word of God and the words of the Prophet ﷺ....

Conclusion of the study: Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman is able to make the brain respond to depression., Support reading therapy Surah Ar-Rahman's can be one of the modalities of CBT therapy (cognitive behavioral therapy).

And i'm sure God's promise must be true....

Heartburn is usually common in every person, is due to unhealthy eating patterns and irregular. Symptoms and causes of heartburn are usually characterized by pain in the upper abdomen. The pain will arise when stomach ulcers recur and will disappear by itself.

we must know how to prevent heartburn is not often recur, and we need to know what factors are most often the cause of stomach pain....  ↓

1. Coffee, tea or other drinks containing caffeine
Caffeine can relax the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), the valve between the stomach and the throat, causing the gas in the stomach up to the esophagus.

2. Brown
Chocolate contains concentrations of theobromine (a compound that occurs naturally in plants such as cocoa, tea and coffee), which relaxes the LES muscle, trigger stomach acid up into the esophagus.

3. Oily and fatty food
These foods tend to be slow to digest, making the food stay longer in the stomach. It can produce an increase in pressure in the stomach, which in turn will increase the pressure of the weakening LES. If the LES weakens, stomach acid up into the esophagus.

4. Tomatoes and Tomato-Based products
These foods all increase the chances of weakening the LES valve which makes the stomach acid up

5. Alcohol
Alcohol works LES valve relaxes, causing reflux, or reversal of stomach acid into the esophagus. Alcohol also increases the production of stomach acid.

6. Cigarettes
The chemicals in cigarette smoke can weaken the valve when he drove through the lungs into the blood.

7. Eat in the amount of the
Belly 'full' can provide extra pressure on the LES valve, which will increase the chances of a reversal of the incidence of a number of food into the esophagus.

8. tamarind fruit and juice
Fruits are sour following products, such as juices, play a role in LES relaxes.

9. Eat between 2-3 hours before bed
Lying down with a full stomach can cause stomach contents to press the LES valve, increasing the chances of reflux food into the esophagus.

10. Too Tight Clothes
Clothes that hug too tight around the stomach will put pressure on the stomach, so food will push up push LES valve. Clothes that can cause this kind of problem, among others corset and tighten our belts too tight ...

Breast milk which has great potential to overcome problem of acne !!

Scientists in the United States has recently found similar substances contained in mother's milk which has great potential to overcome the problem of acne.

This natural substance called laurik acid (lauric acid), the levels in breast milk (milk) reached about 45-50 percent. Known as antibacterial agents, laurik acid is also found in virgin coconut oil or VCO.

Inventor of this substance, Dissaya Pornpattananangkul, a bioengineering researcher from the University of California, stated, laurik acid could save millions of teenagers in the world. This substance is going to be new hope in the treatment of acne because of its natural and safe.

Through his research, Dissaya prove that the treatment using facial creams that contain this substance does not cause side effects. Not as well as other current treatments that can cause skin redness, heat, and burning.

One of the advantages the invention is to combine acid Dissaya laurik with "gold nanoparticles". These nano particles that make acid laurik not attached to each other when the processed form of cream and then can be separated quickly when applied to the skin.

"Nano particles can also help determine the bacteria that cause acne liposomes based on skin conditions, including pH (acidity)," he said.

and Professor Liangfang Zhang of the University Jacobs School of Engineering, said alloy between natural ingredients and the newest way of acne treatment is to increase the antimicrobial effectiveness and minimize side effects.

Together with his team, Dissata plans to conduct these tests on human skin creams. So far they have managed to meet several conditions to obtain permits testing because this product is made from natural ingredients and has been included in the safe list.

Beware of impact of cavities
Do not underestimate cavities, because cavities does not stop at dental abscess, but also must be alert to the threat of focal infection throughout the body, It is raised in the discussion themed "Increasing consumption of sugar in Indonesia VS acute complications in the tooth".

"Focal infection due to the poison and the rest of the dirt and microbes triggering infection in teeth and mouth and then spread to other parts of the body", said Dr.Tengku Nahdar in south Jakarta on Friday.

During the public may not obtain information about the dangers of dental disease, this needs to be disseminated to the residents, many residents still consider the teeth and mouth disease is a common thing, but after a severe new to the doctors they consulted.

Health survey data from households (SKRT) 2004 conducted by the health department said the prevalence of caries (holes) teeth in Indonesia is 90.05 percent. Another fact is that Indonesia suffered the teeth and mouth disease is aggressive cumulative, meaning the damaged area becomes incurable.
Beware of impact of cavities
Dental disease is a type of disease in the first order complained of society. Based on survey results of 2001 health service, dental disease 60 percent of the population complained of Indonesia. Moreover complaint unwittingly dental disease also affects the productivity decline of patients, most of the stops on the move between 2.5 days to 5 days.

So now you're having problems with your teeth? immediately see a doctor, do not worry about today's dentists are equipped with sophisticated equipment and comfortable, the pain almost nothing. So do not be afraid to go to the dentist !!!

Some recent research says the relationship between dental disease to diabetes, coronary heart disease & stroke. Professor Howard Jenkins of the University of Bristol in England said there are more than 700 types of bacteria in the human mouth. Most of these bacteria are not dangerous, but there are some that can cause disease in blood vessels where the harmful bacteria sticking to the platelets that cause clotting within the blood vessel.

If this happens blood clotting brain regions will result in a stroke, occurs when the heart will cause a heart attack. The WHO believes that oral health is essential to quality of life and Affects general health, particularly chronic inflammatory conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease.

U.S Surgeon General says that:

Oral health and general health are inseparable, oral health is integral to general health and the mouth is a portal of entry for infections that can affect local tissues and may spread to other parts of the body. Oral examinations should be part of general medical examinations!!!

What is Toothache ?

What is Toothache ?
A hollow tooth is not due to worms such as the opinion of those in the ancient times. This theory lasted until the 1700's until Willoughby Miller an American dentist who worked at the University of Berlin found the cause of tooth decay.

He found that cavities caused by the meeting between the bacteria and sugar. Bacteria will convert sugar from food into acids remaining that caused the teeth to acid environment (natural environment should be the base of teeth) and the acid is what ultimately makes a small hole in the tooth enamel.

When a hole occurs in the tooth enamel, we have dental pain. However, a small hole next to the email can be a gap of food and bacteria will make a bigger hole to hole in dentin. At this time we will feel the pains in the teeth when eating. If allowed, the hole until the hole will be nervous that we will begin to feel a toothache. This process will not stop until the end teeth are gone and only the remaining tooth root.

dealing with a toothache?? damn!!Toothache can not be considered an eye like some people thought, because if ignored, can make the teeth becomes swollen and inflamed. Also cavities can be a means of entrance channel into the germ line of blood that can cause kidney disease, lung, heart and other disease.

In order not getting worse, so if you have a cavity you should visit your dentist immediately to treat it. Although many people do not like going to the dentist with a reason not care about the state of teeth, expensive worried, afraid or ashamed ridiculed for broken teeth, but going to the dentist is the best solution to overcome a toothache. Cavity can not heal by itself. Although, perhaps after suffering from a toothache, the pain may be gone but not improve the situation of teeth. Teeth will remain hollow, even the hole will keep getting bigger.

Therefore, keep and protect your teeth starts from right now . . . . !!!

Why are not yet fully illuminated leukemia. Cytogenetics and new developments in molecular techniques, genetic susceptibility to radiation, benzene and its derivatives (bali, etc..) Chemicals such as pesticides, some inherited diseases and some viral diseases together cause leukemia are shown in their studies. Leukemia can be seen at any age. Most frequently in childhood is increasing in 2-5 years. 1 under the age of 10 years of age on the response to treatment in the new cases is decreasing.
Any effect of blood circulating in our veins is essential in making bone marrow cells in our home with a blast which we call a change of password is not mature blood cells increase comes. These cells rapidly spread to the bone marrow, lymph glands, spleen, liver, brain, n and the central nervous system are kept.

What is Leukemia ??

EVIDENCE

The symptoms of leukemia in children:

* Fire
* Anemia
* Attenuation
* Lack of appetite
* Bone pain in legs
* Nose and gum bleeding
* Bleeding under the skin (red spots or bruising of)

The first symptoms observed bulgulardır. Ayrıca has spread to organs, such as headache, vomiting, abdominal pain, visual disturbances can be important. This close to their child's application hematology (blood disease) experts in the examination of liver and spleen often growth, enlargement of lymph glands, bleeding can be detected findings.

Configuration blood, bone marrow, cell types and genetic tests to determine the final result can be diagnosed.

Detailed test in diagnosis of this type of leukemia generally, principles of treatment will help determine.

TREATMENT

Correction methods of treatment primarily starts with the general situation. In this phase of blood or blood donors in specific cells (voluntary blood donors persons) to be given to patients with leukemia, infection is present to make the necessary struggles, kidneys, liver and heart side effects of chemotherapy drugs prevention measures to be taken is very important.

In addition, patients and families are informed about the disease, leukemia is not hopeless, reverse leukemia with a good treatment, and moral support in the recovery rate% 85'lere up the second step of treatment is right disclosure.

FIRST PRINCIPLES OF TREATMENT and TREATMENT

Very high doses, at least 6 different varieties within 4-6 weeks of intravenous and oral medication is given. Goal here, called the blast to destroy malignant cells is the main.

However, these chemotherapy drugs, unfortunately, does not affect only the bad cells, our body good, useful cells are destroyed. Therefore, our children are balding, in the mouth, sores in the intestines are opened, sluggish. Again, our body defense cells to protect against infections with drugs destroy the immune system are being destroyed, the slightest germ, the disease spread throughout the body even factor causes severe fever infection.

Therefore, the people around our children with leukemia, air, water, wearing a mask to protect against microbes and are not receiving....

What is ulcer disease?

Ulcer is a disease that attacks the digestive device, either the stomach, intestines, or esophagus. The symptoms of stomach ulcers is discomfort in the digestive tract, pain in the pit of the stomach, nausea, vomiting, bloating, full speed, and decreased appetite.

Dyspeptic disease or better known as an ulcer of them caused by Helicobacter pylori (HP), the only bacteria that can live in the human stomach. "Human stomach acids, so bacteria can not survive, only the HP bacteria that can do that.

In some cases, characteristics of pain in the abdomen to feel like stab to the back, at night. Ulcer is also sometimes characterized by pain that come and go quickly, for example, after eating a little pain disappeared, but a minute later relapse.

Two types of abnormalities that can cause an ulcer disease is the functional and organic dyspepsia. Functional dyspepsia is characterized by only minimal abnormalities, such as flushing the digestive tools.

This disease can have symptoms more severe, namely in the form of wounds in the stomach, large intestine, or esophagus. In the more acute phase, organic disorder is sometimes accompanied by polyps and signs of malignancy.

The severity of gastritis can not be detected simply by observing the symptoms. This is due to the sensitivity and psychic that each person is different. There are some people who's stomach is only a little redness, but it felt great pain. Conversely, there are still able to work and carry out activities as usual, even though his stomach was badly injured.

Abnormalities in the digestive equipment can only be seen by way of endoscopy (scope of the digestive tract). From this examination will be seen whether the instrument suffered intestinal injuries or not.

People who rheumatic drugs for more than a month is usually also not aware that his stomach hurt badly. Newly perceived interference after he was hemorrhaging. In normal circumstances, there is a balance between aggressive factors and defensive gastric damage that protects the stomach. Rheumatic drug generally causes thinning of the stomach wall, which would disrupt the balance of two factors earlier.

In addition to medical treatment, people with ulcers and digestive ganguan require a special diet to speed up healing. Condition, the food must be soft textured / software, not stimulate gastric acid production, small portions but frequently given (every 3 hours). Food also must meet the nutritional adequacy of the body, good protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and water.

Foodstuffs containing such gases, cabbage, cauliflower, jackfruit, durian, sodas, coffee and alcohol should be avoided. Do not use a sharp spicy foods that can stimulate the production of stomach acid. For example chili, vinegar, tamarind Java, starfruit wuluh, Kandis acid, gelugur acid, lemon and pepper.

Material difficult to digest foods such as glutinous rice, cassava, jali, sweet potatoes, butter cream, cake should be avoided. Likewise with hard fibrous foodstuffs such as kedondong and pineapples.

Processing techniques should use boiled and steamed methods. These cooking methods will produce a soft textured food / soft. Avoid cooking with fried or baked way, other than food becomes dry, tough and hard. Cooking this way many use the oil that can stimulate nausea.

tips for prevention

1. Always wash your hands thoroughly after using the bathroom / wc, and before eating.

2. Do not smoke. All types of cigarettes contain nicotine which can increase and improve the substance assam gastric stomach, which caused an ulcer attack.

3. Do not be too stressful. Stress can aggravate the symptoms of the condition of ulcer disease (although not the main cause) and sometimes can slow recovery.

4. Do not drink alcoholic beverages (alcohol) too much. This can dilute stomach lining of the intestine and increase stomach acid which makes the disease more severe gastritis.

5. Do not be too often take drugs that lower pain (such as aspirin, penicilin etc.).

tips from zone4health with alternative treatments

Your search papaya tree, take the top five papaya stalks or taste. Wash thoroughly, then boiled with water about 5 cups water to boiling and stay 2 cups. After the game you can mix with sugar, so not too bitter.

Do it for 7 consecutive days, or for still hurts. Get used to drink in the morning before meals and at bedtime.

What is breast cancer ?

Causes and Risk Factors Of breast cancer

I do not know the exact cause of breast cancer. Nevertheless, the research identified a number of factors that can increase the risk of certain individuals, which include ↓

→ Family history who have similar disease
→ Age a growing
→ Not having children
→ First pregnancy at age above 30 years
→ Menstrual period is longer (first menstruation early or late menopause)
→ Hormonal factors (both estrogen and androgen).

Of the risk factors mentioned above, family history and age of the most important factor. Family history who have had breast cancer increases the risk of developing this disease. The researchers also found that mutations of two genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 can increase the risk of cancer of women to 85%. 3 Interestingly, the genetic factor affects only 5-10% of breast cancer and this suggests that other risk factors play a role penting.4

Importance of age factor as risk factors are reinforced by data that 78% of breast cancers occur in patients over the age of 50 years and only 6% in patients less than 40 years. The average age at the time of the discovery of cancer is 62 tahun.4, 5

The study also evaluates the role of lifestyle factors in breast cancer development, including pesticides, alcohol consumption, obesity, fat intake and lack of physical though. 4.5

Diagnostic and Examination

A number of studies show that early detection of breast cancer, followed by therapy can increase life expectancy and provide more treatment options for patients.

An estimated 95% of women diagnosed with early stage breast cancer may survive more than five years after doctors diagnosed that many who recommend that women undergo 'aware' (check your own breasts) at home on a regular basis and suggested doing an annual routine examination to detect lumps in the breast. In general, breast cancer detected by patients themselves and usually a hard lump and small. In many cases these lumps do not hurt, but some women experience a cause of cancer pain.

In addition to physical tests, annual mammography or twice a year and a special ultrasound is recommended to detect breast abnormalities in elderly women and women at high risk of breast cancer, before cancer occurs. If the lump can be felt or abnormalities detected at mammography, a biopsy should be done to obtain tissue samples for testing under a microscope and examine the possibility of a tumor.

If the cancer is diagnosed, it is necessary to do a series of tests such as estrogen receptor status

New types of tests also include tests to determine the status of the tumor HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor-2). This relates to the growth of aggressive cancer cells. Patients said HER2-positive if the tumor was found overekspresi HER2 and less sensitive to certain chemotherapy. Cancer with HER2-positive is known as an aggressive form of breast cancer and have a travel sickness worse than patients with HER2-negative. An estimated 20% - 30% of patients with breast cancer have HER2-positive. HER2status

Breast Cancer Treatment

Management of breast cancer conducted with a series of treatments including surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, radiation therapy and most recently the monoclonal antibody therapy. This treatment is intended to destroy or limit the spread of cancer and eliminate disease symptoms. The diversity of types of breast cancer requires a detailed diagnostic done before deciding which type of therapy will be used, so the choice is individual.

special tips from zone4health, food recommendations in the treatment of breast cancer

There are a few recommended foods to be consumed on a regular basis. Consumption may only be one type of material or a mixture of several ingredients. If we are attacked by breast cancer, it is recommended to drink the juice of ingredients below, do one glass twice a day.
1. Carrots
2. Radish
3. Plantain
4. Carambola sweet
5. Celery
6. Broccoli
7. Cabbage
8. Apple
9. Garlic
Soy milk drink half a glass, do two times a day, or 100 grams soy for consumption every day.

Green Vegetables variety Cancer Prevention:
1. Beans
2. Cassava leaves
3. Bean
4. Papaya leaf

Primary Systemic Therapy (Neo-adjuvant Therapy)

The selection of primary systemic therapy can be performed before the surgery making the tumor, this depends on the type, distribution and size of tumors at the time of initial diagnostic. This therapy aims to reduce tumor size to allow for the operation while keeping the breast form. It also provides valuable information about the sensitivity of tumors to the drug used. This information will determine the appropriate therapy to overcome the remaining tumor after surgery.

Surgery

Primary tumor is usually removed by surgery. Surgical procedures performed on breast cancer patients depending on disease stage, tumor type, age and general condition of the patient. The surgeon can lift the tumor (lumpectomy), raised some breast and
a lymph gland or removal of the entire breast (mastectomy). To increase life expectancy, surgery is usually followed by additional therapy (adjuvant) as radiation, hormones or chemotherapy.

Adjuvant Radiation Therapy
Radiation therapy is done by X-ray high-intensity to kill cancer cells that are not raised during the surgery. This was done in patients who have undergone surgery for a localized tumor in an area. Side effects on the skin include: itching, redness, dry skin and fatigue.

Hormonal therapy
Some breast tumors express many estrogen receptors (ER) on the cell surface. In this tumor type, female hormone estrogen which support tumor growth bind to RE and regulate cell growth cycle. Breast cancer that depend on estrogen-called RE-positive. Hormonal therapy like tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors, inhibit the growth effects of estrogen and can be used as adjuvant therapy after surgery or at an advanced stage breast cancer (metastatic).

Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy drugs are used both at an early stage or advanced stage disease (can not do surgery, an advanced stage of localized or metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs can be used singly or in combination for treatment of breast cancer are:

Anthraycline example: doxorubicin, epirubicin
Taxane example: paclitaxel, docetaxel
Fluoropyrimidine example: capecitabine, 5-fluorouracil (5 - Fu)
Alkylating agent example: cyclophosphamide

Imunologik Therapy
Approximately 20-30% of breast tumors showing gene amplification overekspresi or excessive. For such patients, trastuzumab, an antibody specifically designed to attack HER2. Trastuzumab inhibits the growth of the tumor and kill tumor cells. Patients should also undergo tests to benefit HER2 therapy with trastuzumab, which is the only imunologik therapy for breast cancer therapy.

Treating Patients At End Stage Disease

Approximately 50% of patients with breast cancer can be cured, either with initial therapy or additional adjuvant therapy. For the other 50%, ie patients with metastatic, more treatment options aimed at improving life expectancy. Among the many cancer drugs studied, only slightly effective in cases of metastatic breast cancer patients, such as trastuzumab and capecitabine.

The focus of therapy in end-stage cancer is prolong life without reducing the quality of life of patients. In breast cancer patients with HER2-positive, trastuzumab given as first line therapy for metastatic breast cancer in combination with other chemotherapy drugs (eg, docetaxel or paclitaxel) was also in second-line or on the third line as a single therapy.

Tips to prevent and treat Hypertension with Healthy Lifestyle

High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the most influential risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Not healthy lifestyle is the main triggering factors of this health disorder.

Most hypertension sufferers did not know he suffered from the problem before checking blood pressure. Disturbance is also known as heterogeneous group of diseases that can affect anyone from different age groups and socio-economic groups.

Hypertension is a condition when the body loses or unable to control the blood pressure so that excessive pressure. As a result, blood volume increases and narrows blood vessels so the heart to pump harder to supply oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body.

While blood pressure is measured by the pressure of the blood vessel wall (in mmHg). Number 120 / 80 mmHg is normal blood pressure that occurs when the heart pumps (systole) and resting (diastole).

"If the blood pressure exceeds normal levels, the risk of damage can occur in vital organs in the body such as heart, kidney, and brain," said cardiologist and hypertension from the National Heart Hospital Center, Harapan Kita, Prof. Dr. Dr. Budhi Setianto SpJP.(Hospitals in Indonesia)

High blood pressure will cause heart swelling, constriction of blood vessels, and coronary. Complications such combination could increase the number of deaths due to cardiovascular disease and heart failure. Therefore, early recognition of hypertension and handling can reduce mortality.

Unfortunately, the lack of knowledge often makes people ignore the complications of hypertension and the use thereof. Actually not a difficult matter to control blood pressure to normal.

Changing unhealthy lifestyle and return to a healthy lifestyle is a major step that can be done to reduce the risk of cardiovascular morbidity (pain), and mortality (death).

"Lifestyle modification consisting of diet control regulate body weight, reduce alcohol, and exercise," said Budhi when touched on hypertension prevention efforts.

Globalization is already causing changes in lifestyle and diet. Food intake is often associated with diseases, including hypertension.

Hypertension is closely related to minerals ions in the body such as sodium, sodium, Chlor, phosphorus, and potassium. Therefore, hypertension associated with salt intake, especially salt. In normal adult salt intake is needed 2 grams / day, but still tailored to the activity undertaken.

For example, athletes who spend a lot of sweat salt intake will require approximately 6-8 grams / day. Salt intake is required for the needs of everyday activity as sodium balance out in the form of urine, sweat, and feces.

Incoming salt must be balanced with the salt out. Actually need salt in the body are fulfilled in the diet daily. Vegetables, rice, wheat, beans, bread or other foods is enough to supply the needs of salt in the body. However, often times people add salt at the table for more tasty food and delicious. Adding soy intake could increase sodium and chlorida.

This condition causes excessive salt intake in the body. If the condition continues, meaning more salt than required will cause metabolic disturbances. One consequence is high blood pressure. Therefore, hypertension Fransisca not recommend adding more salt to the food.

What is cervical cancer ?

Cervical Cancer is a malignant tumor that grows in the cervix / cervix (the lowest part of the uterus attached to the top of the vagina).
Cervical cancer is usually attacked women aged 35-55 years. 90% of cervical cancers derived from squamous cells lining the cervix and the remaining 10% comes from the mucus-producing glandular cells in cervical channel leading into the uterus.

Cause

Cervical cancer occurs when cervical cells become abnormal and divide an uncontrollable.
If the cervical cells continue to divide it will form a mass of tissue called tumors that can be benign or malignant. If the tumor is malignant, then the condition is called cervical cancer.

Cause of the abnormalities in cervical cells is not known, but there are certain risk factors that affect the occurrence of cervical cancer:

HPV (human papillomavirus)
HPV is the virus that causes genital warts (condyloma akuminata) which is transmitted through sexual contact. Variants are very dangerous is HPV types 16, 18, 45 and 56.

Smoking
Tobacco damage to the immune system and affect the body's ability to fight HPV infection in the cervix.

First sexual intercourse at an early age performed

Changing sexual partners

Husband / sexual partner's first sexual intercourse at age below 18 years, changing partners and had been married to a woman who suffered from cervical cancer

Use of DES (diethylstilbestrol) in pregnant women to prevent miscarriage (widely used in 1940-1970)

Immune system disorders

Use of birth control pills

Genital herpes infection or chronic chlamydia infections

Economically weak groups (for not being able to do Pap smears on a regular basis)

In the cervix precancerous condition

The cells on the surface of the cervix sometimes appear abnormal but not malignant.
Scientists believe that some abnormal changes in cervical cells is the first step in a series of slow changes, a few years later can cause cancer. Therefore some abnormal changes are precancerous condition, which can turn into cancer.

Now, used a different term for abnormal changes to cells on the surface of the cervix, one of whom is intraepitel squamous lesions (mean lesion tissue disorders, intraepitel means that cells found only in the abnormal surface layer).

Changes in these cells can be divided into 2 groups:

1. Low-level lesions: an early change in the size, shape and number of cells that form the surface of the cervix. Some low-level lesions disappear by itself. But others grow into larger and more abnormal, forming a high-level lesions.
Low-level lesion also called mild dysplasia or cervical intraepitel neoplasia 1 (NIS 1).
Low-level lesions most often found in women aged 25-35 years, but also can occur in all age groups.

2. Lesions high level: in a large number of precancerous cells that look very different from normal cells.
These precancerous changes occur only in cells on the surface of the cervix. For months, even years, these cells will not become violent and will not infiltrate the cervical layers deeper.
High-level lesion dysplasia is also called secondary or severe dysplasia, NIS 2 or 3, or carcinoma in situ.
High-level lesions most often found in women aged 30-40 years.

If abnormal cells spread deeper into the cervix or to other organs or tissue, called the situation mada cervical cancer or invasive cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer most often found in over 40 years of age.

Symptoms

Precancerous changes in the cervix usually do not cause symptoms and these changes are not detected unless a woman is undergoing a pelvic exam and Pap smear.

Symptoms usually only appear when the abnormal cervical cells become malignant, and infiltrate the surrounding tissue. At this moment will occur the following symptoms:
Abnormal vaginal bleeding, especially between 2 periods, after sexual intercourse and after menopause
Abnormal Menstruation (longer and more)
Whitish who settled, with a watery liquid, pink, brown, contains blood or black and smelly.

Symptoms of advanced cervical cancer:
Decreased appetite, weight loss, fatigue
Pelvic pain, back or legsa
From the vagina out of the urine or stool
Broken bones (fractures).

4 threatening disease of women

Women is unique and complex.... Therefore women need extra care than men. Similarly with health problems, because women are more susceptible than men.

Unlike the men, women experienced more drastic changes in the body, such as hormonal problems, she has experienced several changes starting from childhood, teens, adults to old.

Well, here are a variety of diseases to watch out for by the woman, namely ↓

1 → Breast cancer

Breast cancer is a common cancer in women, although there is also what happened to the man. Second cancers that cause death in this woman could be detected as early as possible to the prevention and self examination every month.

2 → Depression

More depression than men attacked the woman while the same stressor men are more likely to endure the depression. Various hormonal changes such as during pregnancy and monopouse also a factor which increases the risk of depression in women. Depression also has physical symptoms.

3 → Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease due to decreased bone strength have thinning bones. This condition makes the bones more brittle, meaning that the bone can be broken only by minor trauma. Why not rare in people with osteoporosis, bone fractures due to minor accidents such as slipping in the bathroom, fell out of bed and others. And one more, Asian and Caucasian women (Caucasians) attacked a higher risk of osteoporosis than black women.

4 → Autoimmune Diseases

Is a group of autoimmune diseases caused by the immune system (immune system) of the target in recognizing the enemy. The body's immune system is supposed to destroy the foreign object, bacteria, or virus attack even their own limbs. This group includes disease lupus, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and so on.

Based on data from the American autoimmune Related Diseases Association indicates that 75% of those with autoimmune disease are women and the case tends to be ridiculous....

The New Types of Malaria Disease

One recent study found that a new type of malaria has the potential to threaten human beings. Parasite Plasmodium knowlesi previously estimated that only infects monkeys. However, the parasite was spread widely in humans in malaysia, and the most recent investigation confirmed that the parasite can cause death if not treated quickly.

The results of research conducted by an international team was published in the journal of clinical infectious diseases. Although this new type of disease is only spread in Southeast Asia, the researchers warned that the tourism sector due to this region in the case of western countries will soon emerge.

"Each year, malaria can kill millions of people...."

The disease is caused by the malaria parasite enters the human bloodstream by mosquitoes infected with the parasite. Of the four malaria parasites that often cause disease in humans, P. falciparum, which is more commonly found in Africa is the most malignant.

Another parasite, P. malariae which developed in sub-tropical regions of the world, has symptoms that are usually not very dangerous.

P. knowlesi had been thought only to infect primates, especially the long-tailed macaques and found short in the forests of Southeast Asia. However, research conducted by the University Malaysia Sarawak shows that there are a large number of cases of parasitic diseases in humans that type. study found that under the microscope P. knowlesi easily mistaken for P. malariae.

Rapidly proliferate

However, unlike the parasite, P. knowlesi has the ability to multiply in the blood every 24 hours → that is potentially harmful.

One of the team's researchers, Professor balbir Singh, said that with that ability means faster diagnosis and treatment is very important.

The researchers examined 150 patients with malaria who was hospitalized Sarawak, Malaysia, between July 2006 and January 2008.

They found that P. knowlesi into the cause of two thirds of cases, and causes a wide spectrum of diseases.

Most of the disease does not cause complications and easily treated with drugs such as clhoroquine and primaquine. However, an emergency ten patients eventually suffer complications such as respiratory and kidney problems and two patients died.

Although death rates below 2%, P. knowlesi be as deadly as P. falciparum malaria. The researchers emphasized that it is very difficult to measure the accuracy of mortality rates due to the small number of cases studied.

Low platelet count

All patients with P. knowlesi have high levels of low blood platelet, much less than people with other types of malaria.

However, despite the blood platelets necessary for blood coagulation, no patients with unusual bleeding or have a problem with blood viscosity.

Researchers believe the level of low blood platelets can be used as a way to diagnose malaria P. knowlesi.

Professor Singh said: "The increase of tourism to Southeast Asia can make a number of cases of this disease increases in the future, including in Western countries."

"And health workers are examining new patients come from a region that is known or likely to have cases of P. knowlesi have to know the gravity of the disease of P. knowlesi malaria is."

Swine Flu Virus (H1N1)

Swine flu virus or other you call name giving for this virus, H1N1 virus. Swine flu epidemic. Swine flu pandemic. It's all the same.

Swine flu virus, now called H1N1 influenza A, is a type of flu virus. It is a new strain of flu that has just recently been affecting people. It is not caught from pigs or by eating pork. It is a human influenza virus and is being spread by people. It is thought to be a combination of three different flu viruses - swine flu, bird flu and human flu. The new strain is extremely contagious and is quickly spreading across the globe.

H1N1 is different from other strains of influenza. This particular strain of influenza has not been previously exposed to humans before so there are no built up immunities to it. This is what makes it so serious. At the current time there is no preventative drug that you can take in order to avoid getting it. That is why people who are elderly, very young or those who have compromised immune systems must be extremely careful to avoid getting the flu.

Just how dangerous it will be remains to be seen. We are just beginning to see the start of the cases in the United States. It is thought to have originated in Mexico but has since spread globally. The worst cases of it seem to be in Mexico, likely because many people were unaware of the dangers of the flu and did not seek immediate medical treatment.

It was renamed H1N1 influenza A to avoid people making a connection to pigs. This is similar in some ways to the flu that hit the world decades ago. However it is proving to be more serious. The outbreak is becoming serious because nobody has any immunity to this particular strain of influenza. It is estimated that approximately 1 in 4 people who come into contact with swine flu with contract it.

The swine flu has similar symptoms to standard seasonal flu bugs. Swine flu is characterized by a high fever at first and extreme fatigue along with muscle aches. There are also typical cold symptoms that accompany the swine flu including a cough and a sore throat and stuffy nose. Some people additionally have reported nausea or vomiting and diarrhea. The severity of the symptoms is what leads most doctors to consider a diagnosis of swine flu.

What are the swine flu symptoms?
Well, just like any other flu, there's fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue and maybe a little vomiting and diarrhea. Nothing that anyone who has had any other kind of influenza in the past wouldn't be familiar with. But those things can be symptoms of other illnesses also.

Anyone who has the symptoms should seek medical attention right away. Those who get immediate treatment are most likely going to make a full recovery. Doctors take a nose and throat swab sample to send to the lab for testing. The results will be returned within several days. The treatment is a drug called Tamiflu. The doctor will prescribe Tamiflu if it is needed. Most people will get over the swine flu within just a few days. Once you have had swine flu your body will have an immunity from this particular strain in the future.

What's the best way to avoid swine flu? Well, the very best way is to keep your immune system healthy. And there are many additional ways to keep your immune system healthy. You probably remember that old saying "the good lord helps those who help themselves." Well, if you help yourself by keeping your immune system strong and healthy and resilient, you'll be just fine even if you are exposed to H1N1 or any other virus.

Bird Flu Virus (H5N1)

This virus first identified in Italy in around 1905 the virus is now known to exist worldwide. One strain of the H5N1 virus of avian influenza that first surfaced in 1997 has been identified as the most likely source of a future influenza pandemic around the world. Bird flu virus is the street name for the Influenza A virus, which is the virus that causes Avian flu. The name says it all, as Bird flu is a virus that is hosted by birds. With that said though it may infect several other species of mammals.

Different strains of the virus may infect various type of animals. These animals include including birds, pigs, horses, seals, whales. It is even known that the virus could reach humans in mass. Avian influenza quickly spreads in the air and in manure. Contaminated feed, water, equipment and clothing can also increase transmission. There is no proof at the moment that the virus can survive in well cooked meat.

The incubation period for Bird Flu is 3 to 5 days. Symptoms vary among animals. Virulent strains of the H5N1 virus can cause death within a few days.
Humans are affected with similar symptoms as other types of flu.

Symptoms such as
Cough
Fever
Muscle aches
Conjunctivitis
Sore throat

In extreme cases, severe breathing problems and pneumonia can result which can be fatal. The result and the extremity of the infection will depend on the state of the infected person's immune system. Somtimes a victim will have been exposed to the strain before, and will be in part immune to the virus.

Different Types of Flu

Influenza is an infectious disease that is one of the most common illnesses suffered by human beings. During the course of their lifetime, most people experience this illness in one form or another multiple times. Nowadays, many people have access to flu vaccinations which can help prevent the illness from occurring. However, understanding more about the three different types of this illness is important to knowing how it happens.

→ Flu Virus A ←
(Influenza virus A)

The type A form of influenza is the most virulent and has the most unpleasant symptoms of the three possible types. It is the most common form, and is also the form responsible for the largest outbreaks throughout history. More people die from type A flu than from any other type.

The type A influenza consists of several different subsets types. The most severe subset is known as the highly pathogenic variety; the low pathogenic type is the least severe subset of this type of flu. Just about any time you hear about major outbreaks in the news, or when a certain strain is described as being particularly devastating to humans, it is almost certainly type A. Additionally, severe strains are almost always of the highly pathogenic variety.

Type A is definitely the most concerning type of flu to contract of all 3 types. History has shown that very young children and elderly for the most susceptible when it comes to this type. However, many flu vaccinations are available to help prevent contracting this type. This is fortunate, since the risks associated with type A are the most serious.

→ Flu Virus B ←
(Influenza virus B)

The type B flu is not responsible for any type of pandemics, and is rarely mentioned in the news as highly dangerous or potentially terminal. Most people acquire some type of immunity to type B at a relatively early age. However, the pathogens behind type B also mutate frequently, so any immunity will not last forever.

The common occurrence of flu that happens during the winter months is usually of the type B variety. All of the coughing, hacking and other outward symptoms can almost always be attributed to the type B form. However, flu vaccinations do not offer an effective cure or countermeasure to this strain, and researchers continue to work to find ways to combat it.

→ Flu Virus C ←
(Influenza virus C)

The type C form of influenza is the rarest one. If someone contracts influenza, it is almost always the type A or type B variety. In the very rare instance when Type C occurs there are severe symptoms to follow. This form of the flu is also far likelier to be contracted by children than by any other segment of the population.
